Derek and Lesa Schwanebeck are grazing experts rooted in the Sandhills of western Nebraska. The duo has nearly 25 years of experience in managing the forages of this fragile ecosystem. With that experience, Derek and Lesa have built an operation focusing on preserving and enhancing the land and natural resources while maintaining a profitable bottom line.

The Schwanebecks made their home in the Sandhills in 1993 and are now headquartered on the homestead Lesa grew up on. Originally starting as Sandhills Red Angus in 1998 with a grass-finished beef business, the operation grew into Cornerstone Grazing in 2016 with a primary focus on forage management and custom grazing.
Family and faith are paramount for the Schwanebecks.
